Adriana de la Torriente, attorney

Adriana focuses her practice on divorce, child support modifications, child custody modifications, and legitimation actions.  She has handled dozens of divorce and custody cases throughout Georgia. She has successfully defended a custody case on appeal to the Georgia Court of Appeals. 

Adriana is a native Spanish speaker so she is able to meet the needs of Georgia's diverse and growing communities. 

Adriana was selected as a Super Lawyer in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 by Super Lawyers Magazine. She was selected to the Rising Stars List of Super Lawyers Magazine in 2015, 2016, and 2017.   

Prior to embarking on a career change in 2004, Adriana was a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where she focused her practice on the energy industry. Her clients included large scale energy companies in both the United States and in Canada.  Upon leaving PricewaterhouseCoopers, she joined the E-Commerce group at The Home Depot where she was a systems engineer on the homedepot.com launch team. She later transferred to Internal Audit where she was a part of the inaugural Leadership Development Rotation program. There she re-engineered processes in Store Operations, Global Supply Chain and Home Depot EXPO. She was also a member of the internal audit acquisition team for two Mexican home improvement chains: Total Home and Home Mart.

She is a 1998 graduate of the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.  She received her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University’s College of Law.  She is a parishioner at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she serves as both a lector and a member of the Social Justice Ministry.   She is a member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers where she has served on the board including as the VP of Communications and Public Affairs Chairperson.
